3. Adult Karate Program

Our exciting Adult Karate | Self Defense program offers a quality base of American Tang Soo Do instruction to ages 11 & up. If you are looking to do a traditional martial art, this one has it all. This art stems directly from Chuck Norris and features Powerful Kicking, Boxing & Karate hands; Practicality & self defense are strongly emphasized for real world application including use of pressure points. Both Men and Women are welcome. This program also includes forms, some ground grappling, throwing, joint locks, sparring,& eventually weapons. This is a tremendous base system for a martial arts foundation and a proven program which has turned out hundreds of Black Belts.


4. Krav Maga – Fitness/ Self-Defense/ Fighting (14 yrs & Up)

Krav Maga is the official hand-to-hand combat system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It’s also the preferred system for U.S. Military and law enforcement personnel.  Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art, but an aggressive real world self- defense system that works and is ideal for women.  No katas. No rituals. No nonsense. A great fitness work out. Easy to learn! Krav Maga was featured in both the movie “Enough” and t.v. shows “Human Weapon,” and “Fight Science: Special Ops”. This is the extreme self-defense system that you have been looking for!


5. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Welcome to Statesboro Jiu Jitsu!  You are invited to try class on us!  Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a martial art and combat sport system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting.  Our Jiu Jitsu is very fast, fluid, and effective.  Come and experience a great learning atmosphere and tremendous instructors that will help you learn quickly.  Much   personal help is offered in classes and some times after classes. This class will challenge you physically and help you to become proficient in a “ground based fight” or self defense situations.  Our Head Instructor is Mr. Jr Gay.

 


6. Kyusho Jitsu & Small Circle

This is the ancient art of Okinawan Karate Pressure Point fighting, with Small Circle Jiu Jitsu concepts. This art teaches experienced practitioners how to integrate the missing neurological component into their existing martial arts. It focuses upon neurological attacks to the body for a self-defense application, and teaches Grandmaster Jack Hogan’s “Minors to Majors” approach to pressure point attacks. This art is taught in seminars and to hand picked students in the adult and advanced karate program, or privately by certified Kyusho Jitsu instructors, led by Sensei Lynn Carper and Master Clay Pierson through affiliation with Hogan Karate International.
